SnakeEyes: Networked
Game Controllers
by xn croft & rob faludi

<< Produced at ITP for P. Dwyer's "Networked Objects " course, Spring 2006

Each cube is a wireless node on the Internet. They use a WiFi connection to a server program that displays a 3D block-building procedure. Both cubes provide feedback about the building process as two users--each with their own wireless cube--tap soft sensors on the sides to build in the virtual 3D world.

DEMO GAMES

An architectural 3D modeling applet in Processing allows 2 players to alternate turns growing a cube based form in 3D space. The cube vibrates to tell a user that it is her turn, and LEDs on the sides of the interface spatially indicate where onscreen cubes relate to a player's current position in the virtual space.
